For over 30 years, the Department of Anaesthesia at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital has hosted an annual scientific meeting known as the ‘Norwich Anaesthetic Study Day’. In the last few years, it has been renamed ‘The Norwich Anaesthesia Update’.
The meeting covers various anaesthesia topics to provide general and some subspecialty CPD but also includes parallel topics which inform and aim to improve patient care and safety. The Norwich Anaesthesia Update is attended by a wide cross-section of anaesthetists and other theatre staff in East Anglia and beyond, and has a reputation as being a well organised, valuable and reasonably priced source of CPD on the educational calendar.
We hope that you will make the journey to Norwich, which is a fine medieval city with good accommodation, a rich history and much to see. The conference centre is within easy reach of major routes with great facilities, ample parking and we provide all refreshments and a lunch described as ranging from ‘simple classic’ to ‘gourmet’.
Ronak ‘Ronnie’ Patel was an anaesthetic trainee in the East of England Deanery who was much loved by all. He unfortunately lost his life in a car accident following a night on call. This prize is dedicated to Ronnie. Click here for more information about him.
